Thailand’s Airports of Thailand (AOT) has announced an increase to the international departure tax beginning on June 20th, 2026. The updated rate will apply to passengers travelling internationally through several major airports across the country.

Which Airports Are Affected?
The updated international departure tax will apply at six major airports operated by Airports of Thailand (AOT):
- Suvarnabhumi Airport
- Don Mueang Airport
- Chiang Mai Airport
- Mae Fah Luang Chiang Rai Airport
- Phuket Airport
- Hat Yai Airport
Passengers travelling internationally from these airports may see the updated fee included in their ticket pricing.
How the Fee Will Be Applied
According to the information provided:

- Applies to tickets issued from March 11th, 2026 onward
- The increase officially takes effect on June 20th, 2026
